Frozen pies travel surprisingly well — but not everywhere, and not every pie. Here's the short version: we ship anywhere in the continental United States, we deliver locally within 15 miles of Carlisle, and you can always swing by the shop to pick up in person. A few places and one particular pie are off the list, and it's worth knowing about them before you order.
Where we ship
We send pies frozen in insulated boxes with dry ice, via 2-day carrier (FedEx or UPS depending on the day), for a flat $24 per box. One box holds up to two standard 9" pies.
We ship to: All 48 contiguous states.
We do not ship to: Alaska, Hawaii, or any international address. The 2-day frozen window just isn't reliable enough at that distance, and we'd rather tell you upfront than send you a sad, thawed pie.
If you're in the PA/NJ/NY/DC corridor, most orders placed by Monday noon ET ship Tuesday and arrive Thursday. For other delivery timing questions, take a look at our shipping cutoffs article or just drop us a line.
Local delivery
If you're within 15 miles of Carlisle, Elliot or one of our part-time drivers can bring your order right to your door — same day or next day, $8 flat. It's the best way to get a pie that's still a little warm from the morning bake.
Pickup at the shop
Free, always. We're at 47 N Hanover St, one block off the town square. Your order is usually ready about four hours after you place it. Millie or whoever's at the counter will have it boxed and waiting.
Our hours: Tuesday–Friday 8am–6pm, Saturday 8am–5pm, Sunday 9am–3pm. We're closed Mondays.
The one pie that doesn't ship
The Banana Cream Pie is local-only — pickup or delivery within 15 miles of Carlisle. The vanilla custard and fresh bananas just don't survive the freeze-and-thaw cycle the way our other pies do. Clarisse has tried every workaround and the answer is always the same: it's better eaten fresh. If you're not local but you're craving something in that creamy-and-cool neighborhood, the Chocolate Silk ships beautifully and tends to win people over fast.
