Holiday shipping cutoffs

Getting a pie to the table for Thanksgiving or Christmas takes a little planning on our end — and yours. We bake everything fresh, pack it frozen, and hand it off to the carrier with just enough time for it to arrive before the big day. Miss the cutoff, and the kitchen genuinely can't make it work. Here's what you need to know so your order lands in time.

Thanksgiving

Last order: the Friday before Thanksgiving, 5 p.m. ET.

That's the Friday a full week ahead of the holiday — not the Wednesday before, not the Monday. A full week. Orders that come in after 5 p.m. on that Friday won't ship until after Thanksgiving at the earliest, and we'd hate to be the reason your dessert table is bare.

A few things worth knowing for the Thanksgiving window:

• Inventory gets tight fast. The Apple, Pecan, and Pumpkin go first — every year, without fail.
• If you want a specific pie, ordering early in that week is a much safer bet than waiting until Friday afternoon.
• Pumpkin Pie is only available through December, so Thanksgiving is peak season for it. Clarisse and the kitchen bake as many as they can, but they do sell out.

Christmas

Last order: December 18, 5 p.m. ET.

Anything placed after December 18 at 5 p.m. ships in January at the earliest. That's not a soft guideline — the carrier cutoffs are real, and we won't promise a delivery we can't make.

The same inventory pressure applies here. Sweet Potato Pie is only available in November and December, and it tends to disappear in the days leading up to the 18th. If Sweet Potato is on your list, don't wait.

A note on delivery dates around the holidays

During peak weeks, we do our best to hit a specific delivery date if you request one — but it's best effort, not a guarantee. Carrier volume goes up, weather happens, and sometimes a truck is just late. If your event has a hard deadline, order a day or two earlier than you think you need to.

What if you missed the cutoff?

It happens. Drop us a line and we'll be honest with you about what's possible. Sometimes Paul or Millie can find a workaround for local pickup or same-day delivery if you're within 15 miles of Carlisle. Shipping after the cutoff, though, is genuinely out of our hands.
